Silk’n Pro is an innovative light-based device for hair removal in men and women. Special pulsed-light energy targets the hair's natural pigment, which conducts heat to the root and destoys it. For this reason it works best if the contrast between hair and skin colour is high - fair skin with dark hair is ideal. 

This device can be used for the body and face. However, it is important to avoid area near the eyes and lips. When treating the face, make sure the light does not reflect into the eyes. Also, when treating any sun exposed skin area such as the face or arms, you should make sure to protect the skin with daily application of SPF 50 sunscreen (before and 4-6 weeks after using any light or laser based hair removal system).

How to use: 

• Treatment sessions should be spaced two weeks apart for the first three to four sessions. After that, treatments should be performed if hairs have grown back until the desired results are achieved.
• Ideal hair length for use of this device is 2-4 days after shaving 
• Avoid sun exposure on the treated area for at least four weeks before treatment. An SPF 50+ sun protection will help 
• Make sure to avoid the sun and always wear SPF 50+ sun protection 4-6 weeks after using this device

This is an easy to use, safe, light-based hair removal device you can use in the privacy of your own home. As with all light-based or laser hair removal, results are not immediate and will take several, repeated treatment sessions. Hair may appear to be growing back after a treatment, but typically after two weeks many of these hairs will simply fall out. Also, hairs grow in different stages and only hairs in an active growth phase will be affected by this treatment - the main reason why a course of treatments are routinely recommended in clinics. 

Understandably, light-based home devices can't be as powerful and effective as laser devices in clinics. But if you choose to use a hair removal system privately at home, this device a wise choice.

The applicator tip of Silk’n Pro has been designed so that a light pulse can only be emitted when the applicator is in contact with the skin. This eliminates the possibility of an accidental flash of light directly towards the user’s eyes.

When used according to instructions, Silk'n Pro treatments were found to be of only mild discomfort, compared to waxing. Most users describe the feeling as similar to an elastic band lightly hitting the skin. Results are semi-permanent (as with all light and laser based hair removal systems), so regular maintenance treatments are likely to be needed. Silk'n Pro can be used by men and women, although hair on men, especially those on the chest, will require more treatments than those of women to get the desired results.
